Abstract
Provides information on the life of indigenous people specifically the Adivasis, living under the supremacy of government in the Indian state of Kerala. Impact of modernization and rationalism of Kerala state which were directed to overcome gross inequalities but paradoxically exacerbated the situation of the poor and the excluded; Initiation of major reforms aiming at social justice and facilitating political participation from most sectors of the population; Result of major redirections in global policies and political realities on reforms related to new relations of violence toward citizenry.
