An essay is provided which discusses the Kalinga International Institute of Technology (KIIT) and the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), two schools in the state of Orissa, India which provide education and training to adivasi, indigenous peoples of the area, for free. The founder of the schools, Achyuta Samanta, intends to expand the programs. The author discusses his experience providing an address on Indian National Day at the schools.
